8 GHz Replacement Kit - HPO-080
The HPO-080 functions as an 8 GHz replacement kit for the channel 3 option of the HP 53131A, HP 53132A and HP 53181A frequency counters, which have been discontinued.
Like the lower frequency options, it has excellent sensitivity and it's fully tested.
- 0.1 to 8 GHz bandwidth.
- High sensitivity.
- Does not self-oscillate.
- Fully tested to ensure reliable measurements.
- 30 days, no questions asked, extended return policy.
- HPO-080 board.
- Cable assembly with panel mount connector (several options available).
- IDC cable.
- Mounting screws and spacers.
Warranty: 2 years.
Most users working at these frequencies prefer SMA connectors, because of that, Cojotech is offering an optional custom SMA connector assembly, which allows you to connect SMA cables directly, removing the need for additional adapters and improving the overall insertion loss.
The standard options are the common BNC connector and the TNC connector, both of which are good choices, but they offer relatively poor performance in the high frequency ranges.
A Low Loss TNC option is also offered, for those who prefer TNC over SMA but don't want to sacrifice sensitivity.
For a better understanding on how the choice of connector affects the sensitivity, make sure to read the "Connector selection" section from the datasheet. To take advantage of the rated sensitivity, across the entire frequency span, you will need either the SMA option or the Low Loss TNC option. The base BNC and TNC assemblies will decrease the sensitivity by a couple of dB at around 8 GHz.
